We want to see the lives of our children and young people in NZ improved and we know the Good Causes that support them need more sustainable funding to provide this care.

Upstream NZ is here to make profits……so the Community profits.

We collaborate with our approved businesses and market their products and services to customers which generates referral fees. We use that income to fund Good Causes that support children and young people in NZ. We market the impact stories to our customers so that you know your purchases are making a difference. That’s all there is to it

We are unashamedly about making money – for good. However It’s not about the money – it’s always about the people.

Social enterprises are purpose-driven organisations that trade to deliver social and environmental impact. In a nutshell, they are about making their impact in the community rather than the back pockets of a few.

I’ve been a youth worker in Christchurch for the last ten years.  During that time I’ve seen virtually every organisation I’ve worked with struggle for funding – including the one I work for, CDN Trust.  I’m passionate about journeying alongside young people.  In order to do this long term, we need to get smarter about how we fund this important work.
I’m excited for the opportunity through Upstream NZ to partner with businesses, individuals and non-profits to create win-wins, and develop truly sustainable income for our vital community youth workers.

Working alongside children and young people since 2006, I am passionate about improving the health of the youthwork trusts that provide this good work. In a recent survey of 100 NZ not-for-profit organisations, 86% of them said the number one stress for them is finding enough funding. Witnessing organisations struggling to find efficient money to support youth workers, I am wanting to find solutions.

Upstream NZ is working towards answering the questions so many good causes struggle to answer. Having worked alongside James ( two collaborating youth organisations ) for the past 10 years, we are passionate about Upstream NZ being successful so that the people in our communities benefit most.

I am excited to see what the future holds as Upstream NZ generate profits through its strategies so peoples lives are impacted through the many good causes out there. Thank for being apart of our journey!
